It was great to see many of you at Back To School Night.
Beth, Brian and Whitney went over many aspects of the 1-2 shared curriculum.

A really great thing I learned was that Beth uses "The Silent Thumb". Instead of raising hands like we all probably did when we were in school. Beth said that research has shown that some kids give up on problem solving when other kids raise their hand first. So she uses the "silent thumb" technique, which is less intrusive and has been shown to keep kids problem solving longer. Who knew?
